CURRICULUM

Our Philosophy
M.A.W. Children's Center believes that young children are very special. Their natural curiosity creates a wonderful opportunity for learning. We recognize each child as an individual with unique needs, thoughts, interests, and timetables. At M.A.W. Children's Center, we have created an environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and fun. Our classrooms incorporate interaction in concrete meaningful activities that parallel our developmentally appropriate curriculum. M.A.W. Children's Center believes that next to the home, school is the most important environment for shaping attitudes, molding good habits, and building character.
Our Program
M. A. W. Children's Center is a private non-profit child care center. We offer a dual program which includes a preschool program for children ages 2-5. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum is implemented for each age group working towards the goal of have the children ready on all levels for kindergarten and is supplemented with a variety of activities and instruction geared toward each child's development. These activities include creative dance, music, art, performances, recreational and educational field trips, cooking activities, swimming, and water play. The afternoon program is designed with activities that reinforce the morning academic program in our pre school program.
